Janel (Wenzel) and I went through some of the posts and she recognized almost everyone. Wimbledon is a great town; loved the 4th of July parade in 2010. The place is such a refreshing change from the larger towns around the state. Lots of great people. Keep it up!

My husband, Don, passed away on July 3rd, 2010. At his funeral, the Catholic and Methodist women served lunch together that day. Our family is so grateful for the assistance of neighbors here before Don's leaving us and since. Citizens are well cared for here. I could live somewhere else, but the support I have received from neighbors has convinced me that here is where I need to remain as long as I am able. Wimbledon has a community spirit and an acceptance of all that is as unique and comfortable as it name; it is the only city with its name in our United States.

I've lived in Wimbledon since I married Don on June 1, 1953. All of our 4 children graduated from Wimbledon High School. This area has given us a good life.

I taught in Wimbledon from 1973-1976 my first years ... am now retiring forever. Enjoyed Wimbledon and the people when I was there. I'd love to hear from some of my former students.

The Midland Continental Depot Restoration project is in the grant application process. We hope to have the project completed by the 2010 School Reunion.
